I noticed a few days ago on my drive home from Waxahachie that spring is starting to peak up. The brown dead foliage is starting to show life, before we know every blade of brown grass will be replaced by the new lush green grass and wildflowers of Spring.
This will be my third Spring in Texas and i am sure i will be in awww as i have been the past 2 years. I am usually overwhelmed at some point during spring by the pure beauty of a Texas Spring day. The rich green grass, and the contrasting colors of the Bluebonnets and other wild flower, is breathtaking.
I took this picture of the Bluebonnets last year. I usually take a nice warm day and drive around taking pictures. Last year i took pictures only around Ennis, only where my little Honda Scooter would take me. The warm air on my skin and the fresh scent of spring made for a perfect day.
I wanted to included this picture i took when i was in California last year. This is just on the edge of the town where i grew up. Yes i know where are the palm trees and beach....well i lived in the desert of Cali. Now i am sure you will all understand why I love the Spring in Texas.
The two pictures were taken within about 10 days of each other.

Wow! I didn't even know there was desert there. I was seriously wondering how you could love Spring here! :)
